PILATES, YOGA, AND THERAPEUTICS
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION, SKILLED PRESENCE
At Gravity and Grace Movement studio, a private, one-on-one (or duet) session is tailored to meet your needs and goals. Each session is an alchemical and intuitive process; I ask questions, listen to your history, ideas, & language, and then guide breath and movement. I use elements of yoga, Pilates and functional and rehabilitative movement (depending on your requests).
My approach is oriented through an embodied practice of animism, radical social & disability justice, collective healing & liberation, trauma-informed somatics, and nervous system co-regulation. I address the body through physical intervention, as well as through an exploration of emotions, thoughts and feelings of connection to life, aliveness and spirit.

Embodiment is essential in transformational & social change work. Witnessing and resisting injustice takes a toll on our individual and collective nervous systems and ecosystems.
Special Events and Workshops
Rooted in the ancient wisdom of the Diné people, these sacred ceremonies offer a deeply respectful and transformative experience, fostering spiritual healing, balance, and connection with self, spirit, and the Earth.

Your body holds the key to resilience and joy; I’m here to help you unlock it.
Hi, I’m Angelina, she/they, a trauma-sensitive embodiment educator, activist, dancer and healer
I’m certified in Pilates, Functional Movement & Yoga. I’ve been teaching for over 23 years and volunteering in community-care settings since I was a teen.
My extensive experience is specialized in working with injury rehabilitation, anxiety, depression, PTSD, nervous system co-regulation, chronic pain management and body dysmorphia.
The focus of my practice & teaching is on being present to the truths and resources of the body to create space for healing, accountability and strength in both the individual and the collective.
Meeting people where they are is my philosophy.
I am a white Latina, 3rd generation Mexican (Native North American of Mexican & Apache descent) and 3rd generation Sicilian (of immigrants through Ellis Island). I humbly straddle these realities, embracing my Brown identity culture and my responsibility as a white-bodied person.
I opened my studio, Gravity & Grace Movement, in Portland, Oregon–Cowlitz, Clackamas, Multnomah land— in 2017.
I am an student of Indigenous teachers from the Diné (Navajo) lineage, meeting for connection, ceremony, healing and learning five times a year.
I’ve been teaching since 2001 to a broad range of clients that include the legendary Lady Gaga and NFL Hall of Famer, Steve Young.
I work with all variety of ages, ability levels and issues, including, but not limited to: chronic injuries & pain, back & spinal injury, hip-replacements, auto-immune disorders, PTSD, depression, anxiety, spiritual constipation, pre&post natal, EDS, cancer, arthritis and more.
I specialize in trauma-sensitive practices and I have a keen ability for working with hyper-mobility, body dysmorphia, disordered eating and chronic pain, as I walk my own healing path with these issues.
